A 54-year-old male cyclist has died following a crash between a cyclist and a heavy traffic vehicle in Dunedin this morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 7.45am near to the Dunedin Railway Station.
Early indications are that the truck was turning into Castle Street from Anzac Avenue when the incident occurred.
The cyclist died at the scene.
Fire, police and ambulance all attended.
The Police’s Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
Police are currently talking with the driver of the truck who is uninjured.
