Police Commissioner Howard Broad this afternoon rejected suggestions that by using the word "systemic" in his media release on the Police response to the Commission of Inquiry - he had somehow diminished his commitment to change signalled by the Commission of Inquiry.
"I have said clearly and unreservedly that I accept the findings of Dame Margaret's report and I welcome every opportunity to restate that commitment.
"Dame Margaret's work is propelling us to improve our systems, policies and processes. No-one should underestimate my resolve to see the recommendations through. No playing with words will deter me from this goal," said Mr Broad.
