Police investigate suspicious package at Mangere Work and Income

1 min read

A suspicious package was reported to Police at about 2pm today, after it was discovered in the carpark of the Mangere Work and Income site on Mascot Ave.

Staff were evacuated from the building immediately and cordons erected.

A Police dog trained to detect explosives has been at the scene and specialist staff are also attending to xray the package.

Presently, there is a cordon remaining around a small area of the carpark and a small part of Canning Crescent.

Staff from the building have returned to their offices and the carpark is gradually being emptied.
