Where's the copper dome?

1 min read

Christchurch Police are appealing for information from the public about the iconic copper dome which used to adorn the top of the city's 188 High Street ANZ building, damaged during the 22 February earthquake.

Constable Mark Boddy said police know the dome fell to the ground as a result of the earthquake, and believe it was crushed soon after during the rescue phase.

"We're not too sure what happened to it after that. If anyone who was working in the Lichfield, High and Manchester Streets area in the days following the quake has information about its whereabouts now then we'd love to hear from them."

If you have information that may assist the police, then call Constable Mark Boddy at the Christchurch Central police station on (03) 363 7559.
