The Head of the Waitakere CIB Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton says his team is making good progress in their investigations into the double homicide which has occurred at a residential property in West Auckland.
Police went to the scene in Kervil Avenue, Te Atatu Peninsula at about 5.30pm yesterday Saturday 14 October 2006. On arrival they discovered the body of a female aged in her 40's in a bedroom of the house. The body of a male aged in his 50's was discovered inside a vehicle in a garage on the property.
The bodies of the two deceased have now been taken to the Auckland Mortuary and a post mortem examination will be carried out early tomorrow.
Forensic experts will complete their scene examinations at house later today.
"Police continue to interview a number of associates and friends of both deceased. We expect to have further developments in this homicide enquiry tomorrow," Mr Sutton said.
