Henderson Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating the present whereabouts of a 22 year old Polynesian man, who has gone missing from his home in West Auckland.
Acting Sergeant Steven Waters, says that Junior IOPU has been reported missing by his Mother. The young man was last seen at family home at about 11.00am on Wednesday 11 October 2006, when she gave him $50 cash so that he could catch the bus to Henderson to attend a movie screening in the local cinema.
"His normal routine each Wednesday has been to bus to Henderson to attend the movies. On this occasion he has not returned home and the family and police are concerned for his safety and well being," Sergeant Waters said.
'The family has checked with Henderson, West City and New Lynn relatives, and known friends and associates without success. The man suffers bi-polar and schizophrenia symptoms and requires daily medication for his condition.'
"He has now been without his necessary medication for three days. We are becoming increasingly concerned as to his whereabouts. The public can certainly assist the police search by notifying us of any sightings of this young man," said Sergeant Waters.
