Police Investigate Incident in West Auckland

Henderson Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances behind the discovery of two bodies found at a West Auckland address yesterday.

Police were called to a house in Harrington Road, Henderson at 4.50pm on Wednesday 27 September 2006. On arrival they found the bodies of a male aged 41 years, and a female aged 33 years, both of whom were deceased.

The bodies were in a garage located at the rear of the house. Police found a firearm at the scene. Residents of the address were inside the house when police arrived late yesterday afternoon.

Police and forensic experts returned to the address this morning to carry out a detailed examination of the internal area of the garage and the property.

A Police guard has been in place overnight and will continue until the forensic examinations have been completed. A number of police are working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are being made across Auckland

The bodies of the two deceased are to be taken to the mortuary this afternoon for a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death. A formal identification is also to be made. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
