Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of a Whangärei supermarket on Saturday night (August 21).
At about 10pm staff at the Countdown Store in Tikipunga were closing the store when three men, wearing masks, entered the store brandishing firearms and a knife.
The offenders demanded money from the staff and then left carrying an unspecified amount of cash.
The staff were unhurt, but shaken by the incident.
Police are interested in sightings of a blue 1994 Honda Rafaga that was used by the offenders and is believed to have been stolen from Kamo prior to the robbery.
This vehicle was located by police in a street near the supermarket.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity near or in the Countdown Store close to the time that the robbery occurred.
