Around 7.10 this morning (Thursday, 8 July, 2010) police were called to an address in Aorangi Road, Feilding.
A member of the public had come across the body of a man lying on a driveway of a house along the semi-rural road.
The man is believed to be local and in his early 30s.
Until cause of death can be established the police are treating the death as suspicious. The scene has been cordoned off and an investigation and scene examination have begun.
It is likely to be some time before any further information will be available.
