Man No Longer a Suspect in Skimming Investigation

1 min read

Henderson Police say that one of two men whose images were released yesterday is no longer of any interest to them in their current BNZ Skimming investigation.

Detective Brendon Pearson says Police have identified and spoken to the man who withdrew money from an ATM at the Glen Eden Branch of the ASB on 23 March 2006.

"We have eliminated this man from our enquiries," he said.

"Our appeal to the public for sightings of the second man whose image was captured on security footage as he was leaving the Century on Anzac Apartments in Auckland City, will continue until this person is located," Detective Pearson said.

"The nationality of this man is unknown. Police would like to know of his whereabouts, and whether or not this individual is currently residing in New Zealand. We invite him to come forward or make contact with us, so this investigation can be finalised," he said.

Any member of the public who has any sightings of this man, or has other available information on his identity and possible whereabouts, can contact Detective Brendon Pearson at Henderson CIB on either Telephone numbers 09-839-0628 OR 027-480 3444.

NOTE: Media are requested to withdraw all further publication and reference to the image released yesterday of the male pictured at an ATM, at ASB Glen Eden Branch.
