Major Burglary

1 min read

Between the 31 December 2005 and 4 January 2006 there was a burglary at a major transport depot near Christchurch Airport where a truckload of Panasonic equipment was stolen.

The truck was later located. An amount of the stolen equipment has been recovered from an address and a 23 year old male has been charged with the Burglary and is before the courts currently on this matter.

"There is still a large amount of new Panasonic equipment, still in its boxes, that was stolen in this burglary out there, that has not been recovered to date," says Detective Sergeant Mike Johnson.

Anyone with any information about new Panasonic equipment being offered for sale or any other information about this matter please contact Constable Stephen SIBLEY of the Central Volume Crime Unit, phone 3637538.

Inquiries are continuing.
