At 2:40 p.m. Sunday the 8th of January 2006 at Lake Ruataniwha an accident occurred between two jet-skis resulting in the death of a 38 year old Rangiora woman Leslie Fay VISSER.
The other jet-ski involved was being ridden by her husband.
Attempts by first aid persons and ambulance staff to revive Mrs VISSER were unsuccessful.
The body of Mrs VISSER has been transported to Timaru where a post mortem examination will carried out.
The matter has been reported to the coroner and a Police investigation is continuing.
The deceased's husband and family have returned home where they are being supported by family and volunteers from victim support.
