Nearly four weeks after 33 year-old Damien Loder Allen was found dead in a Hillsborough home, Police investigating his death are becoming increasingly frustrated at the obvious gaps in honest information they are getting from occupants and associates of the property he died in.
Detective Inspector Scott Beard says that a preliminary reconstruction of the homicide scene revealed that the area may have been cleaned and Mr Allen's body moved before Police attended at 8pm on September 24.
"We're obstructed in our current investigations by people who, we believe, are withholding vital information that would assist us and Damien's family to uncover the truth around what happened in the hours before he died.
"Anyone who might be concerned about compromising their safety can use the option of a confidential call to the newly established Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
"Callers should refer to Damien Allen by name so that any information received is passed onto the correct investigators."
The post-mortem examination, which was carried out on September 25, revealed he died as a result of blunt force trauma. Police will continue with investigations to determine how he received that injury.
