Ruapehu Police are investigating the disappearance of Indian national Kanwalpreet Brar, aka Rinky Brar.
The 30-year-old woman who lives in Hamilton, was last seen at Whakapapa Village, Mt Ruapehu yesterday (Sunday, 19 July) around 2.30pm.

It was while they were at Mount Ruapehu that Rinky had a minor disagreement with her friends and walked back down to Whakapapa Village. She was seen in the village but has not been seen since, and has not turned up at either her Hamilton home or the home of family members in Palmerston North.
She is described as slim, 150-155cm tall, 50kg last seen wearing black waterproof jacket, black trousers, white sports shoes and cream coloured gloves with a pink headband and black beanie.
She did not have access to her own transport or personal items such as money or a phone.
Rinky is being urged to contact the police to let them know she is safe and well. Anyone else with information about Rinky's whereabouts of who wants to report any sightings of Rinky is asked to contact National Park Police on 07 892 2869.
