This Easter weekend make safe driving decisions such as keeping left and avoid accident-causing offences such as overtaking on yellow lines, corners and tail gating.
Acting Road Policing Manager Inspector John Kelly said weather forecasts are mixed over the country and this means that drivers need to be extra careful.
"Our message is to remember the key road safety messages. Reduce speed, don’t drink and drive, wear a safety belt and drive to the conditions.
The holiday weekend starts at 4pm today and finishes at 6am on Tuesday 29 March 2005.
Over Easter weekend in 2004 there were 4 fatal crashes and 117 reported injury crashes. These crashes resulted in 4 deaths, 32 serious injuries and 138 minor injuries.
