Thanks for a great day
Thanks for a great day
Police Commissioner Mike Bush has thanked members of the public, partner agencies and staff members who contributed to the success of the Police’s first National Open Day on Saturday 14 June.
Tens of thousands of New Zealanders visited police stations and events across the country at venues including The Cloud in Auckland, Fieldays in Waikato and the Royal New Zealand Police College in Porirua.
Families interacted with staff, met police dogs and horses and were able to have a closer look at the workings of a modern police service.
“It’s really important that the public see how we work and why we do the things we do,” says Mike.
“Thanks to everyone who came along, thanks to our partners who joined in and thanks to all the police staff who looked after our visitors.”
