School holidays at the Police Museum in Porirua

Grab a clipboard and follow trails of 'evidence' in the Operation series, unravel the latest Junior Detective Mystery or take part in a Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) workshop. See more details below.

There is also the usual favourites including police uniform dress ups and the M.O.T. motorbike - both great photo opportunities for the young and the young at heart!

The museum is open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm, at the Royal New Zealand Police College on Papakowhai Road, Porirua. General admission is FREE.

SOCO workshop details

Who: Children aged 7 to 13 years, adult supervision required.

When: 2pm on Monday to Friday during the school holidays until 11 October.

Cost: $5 per child.

Essential: Spaces are limited to 15 children per workshop so please secure your place by calling (04) 238 3141 or email museum@police.govt.nz.
