Maybe next year... our pipers and drummers gave it their best shot in Glasgow, but it was not to be.
Despite two strong performances at the World Pipe Band Championships over the weekend the New Zealand Police Pipe Band did not progress to the finals.
"The new-look band under new Pipe Major Emmett Conway has made rapid progress in a matter of months - will be back fighting next year!" the band declared on its Facebook page.
See the embedded video for a taste of the band in action, performing its medley during the competition.
The band was performing in its new tartan - a McLeod tartan in honour of Constable Neil McLeod, the first New Zealand Police officer slain on duty.
Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia, from North Lanarkshire, were crowned world champions.
