Make it a summer to remember
Police and our road safety partners are determined to make it a safer summer on NZ roads. Over the past few weeks road safety messages shared through roadside billboards, radio advertising and social media have supported our road policing activities. Videos Police released as part of this safety campaign provide a stark reminder of the consequences of poor decisions on the road.
Police would like to reinforce that road safety is everybody's responsibility and that holidays can be ruined when the basics go wrong. Superintendent Carey Griffiths, National Road Policing manager says "We'd like to urge drivers to pay attention, stay under the speed limit, watch following distances, drive to the conditions, drive fresh and refrain from drinking before driving. Let's make this a summer to remember, not one to regret.
