The long road winds on
Our relayers are still out there, helping mark the 75th anniversary of women in policing - and here are a few more photos of what they're doing along the way.
The relay torches have now reached Bay of Plenty District in the north and Canterbury in the south as they make their way toward Wellington, travelling by any means available - whitewater raft, pennyfarthing, Segway and luge included.
The relays began on 24 June from Cape Reinga and Bluff. On 1 August the torches will feature in a national parade of serving and former staff members through the capital, from Civic Square to Parliament. The marchers will be accompanied by police dogs, horses and vintage vehicles.
Thanks to everyone who has taken part in the relay so far, and to all those who have supported them. And huge thanks to all the awesome police women who have done and continue to do so much for New Zealand and its people!
