Learn about the new website

Welcome to the new and improved version of the Police website.

Based on user research we've rebuilt the whole site. We've:

• restructured the site to make it easier to find the pages most people are looking for
• reviewed and rewritten all pages to make sure they're in plain English
• added new navigation options like the "mega menu" dropdowns on the main menu to make it easier to get around the site
• added Google maps to make it easier to find your local station
• given it a clean new look
• built a new sub-site designed for mobiles - m.police.govt.nz

Our aim was to produce a site that:

1. meets users' needs
2. helps prevent crime and crashes
3. helps people stay safe
4. improves public access to Police and Police services

The launch is not the end of the work to improve the website. The content, functionality and services provided will be continually improved so please get in touch if you've any feedback.
