“Anything to drink tonight Ma’am?” [video]

A new TV ad aims to unsettle drivers who think a few drinks over dinner might still be OK.

Counties Manukau police officers recently tested their acting chops in the production of a new alcohol limits commercial. The ad is the latest in the Safer Journeys series, supporting our efforts to enforce lower alcohol limits.

Good and law-abiding citizens find themselves reflected in the ad. They hold the belief that drink-driving above the legal limit is unacceptable, but over time, they’ve set their own personal limits. We want to show that few drinks is probably not “fine”.

Sergeant Lance Mulu appears in the lead role supported by Chris French, Debbie Harries, Erina Mako, Helen Warner, Dan Sargent, Amber Stobie and Inderpreet Singh.
