Yes, you can request a court hearing before the due date admitting liability for the offence. To request a court hearing you can either:

• complete the Request a court hearing online form,
• print and complete the court hearing request form (PDF 196KB) or
• write to the Police Infringement Bureau, PO Box 9147, Wellington 6141.

All correspondence must include the infringement notice number.

Submissions for the court to consider at this hearing can be included.
