New Zealand Police is working with communities to prevent crime and harm and ensure everybody can be safe and feel safe wherever they live, work or visit. With over 14,000 staff, we provide policing services 24 hours a day, every day. We operate by land, sea and air, manage over 1 million emergency calls a year and work to prevent crime and crashes.
We’re working towards specific outcomes and targets that highlight our intent to reduce violent crime, reduce youth offending, improve court timeliness and increase public place visibility.
