Fleeing driver policy

This policy describes the options available to Police when drivers flee. It provides the information and tools to inform the risk assessment and decision-making process to enable officers to make an informed assessment of the appropriate response. Some parts of this policy have been considered not appropriate for release and, if requested, would be withheld under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). In these parts of the policy, the relevant sections of the Act that would apply have been identified.
