In keeping with the Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 2016-2018, and as Administrator of the Arms Act 1983, Police is releasing its responses to some recent Official Information Act requests, where it is considered they contain data and information that has wider public interest.

For each existing firearms license holder who has applied since 1 January 2020 to have their firearms license renewed, could you please advise:

  1. The date their re-licensing application was received,
  2. The date their license expired,
  3. Whether their re-license was: Reissued, Revoked/Declined or Still Being Processed, and
  4. The date their firearm license was re-issued.
