Annual Report 2002
The 2002 Annual Report places significance on the events of September 11 and the effect this had on policing in New Zealand. Other significant events included the postponed visit by HRH Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in the New Year.
The 2001/02 year also saw public trust and confidence in Police rise to an all-time high. Staff numbers also rose to a record high, but recruitment around the wider Auckland area is needed to attract more sworn staff members.
The Annual Report 2002 also includes the achievements of key result areas, the Police statement of objectives and service performance, information on reducing inequalities, reports from service centers and other groups, as well as financial and organizational information.
