At about 1.50pm this afternoon Police received anonymous information that there was a bomb in the Horowhenua District Council building on Oxford Street, Levin.
The caller said that the bomb would detonate in a 30 minutes.
The building was evacuated and cordons were put in place.
The 30 minute time period expired without incident. The building was then searched by a Police specialist search group and explosives detector dog.
There were no suspicious items detected and the building was decleared safe at about 3.50pm.
