Wellington Police are currently searching for a 72 year old dementia patient that has wandered away from her care facility in Newtown.

Emma Rangi is described as skinny with short white/grey hair. She is approximately 5 foot 2, wearing a blue/black tracksuit and large glasses. She is often known to walk with her hands behind her back.

Police urge anyone who knows of Emma's whereabouts to contact them on (04)381 2000.

Emma has been missing since 7:00am

Update to previous clothing description

Last seen wearing a white skivvy with blue vinyl jacket, knitted yellow/blue/black hat and dark blue track pants. She is not believed to be wearing glasses.

Police have located Emma safe and well in the Newtown area.
