Historical moment for Australian Police

1 min read

The Christchurch Earthquake police operation now has the support of Australian police officers from every Australian state and territory as well as the Australian Federal Police.

This is an historical moment as it is believed that never before have representatives from every Australian state and territory, along with the Federal Police, worked together on a single operation.

To acknowledge this there will be a media opportunity outside the Art Gallery in Christchurch straight after the conclusion of today's 3pm multi-agency media briefing. Representatives from each Australian police contingent will be there for a photo opportunity and there will be an interview opportunity with an Australian Police Commander.
