Wellington Police are continuing their enquiries into the search for an elderly man, who went missing from the grounds of Makara Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
The man had been part of a group taken to the grounds by bus, but failed to show up at the agreed leaving time.
Police now believe the missing man has made contact with Metlink today however details of the phone call were not recorded. Police are urging this gentleman to phone Wellington Police on (04) 381 2000 as soon as possible.
