Supplementary Analysis Report: Firearm Prohibition Orders Legislation Amendment Bill

This Supplementary Analysis Report (SAR) was prepared by New Zealand Police, signed on 14 February 2024 and considered by Cabinet on 20 February 2024. It provides Police’s assessment of proposed options to amend the FPO regime to expand qualifying criteria in regard to members of gangs and organised criminal groups, establish specific search powers for FPOs and introduce a review and revocation process for FPOs.
